What we collect
When you request founding access, we collect the information you enter: your email address, home zone, days per season, avalanche education, the tools you currently use, and what a season of access would be worth to you. If you start filling out the form but do not submit it, we may retain the survey answers you entered so far (never your email address) along with an anonymous visitor identifier, to understand where the form loses people. Your email address is only stored if you submit the form.
Like most websites, we also collect basic usage data automatically: pages visited, time on page, scroll depth, referrer, campaign parameters, browser and device type, and IP address.
How we use it
We use this information for one purpose: planning and opening the Slope Labs research preview. That means deciding which zones to build first, setting founding-cohort pricing, emailing you about the preview, and understanding how visitors use this site. We do not sell your information. We do not share it with third parties for their marketing. We will not add you to any list other than the one you asked to join.
Analytics and advertising
We use our own first-party analytics and may use the Meta (Facebook) pixel to measure whether our ads work. The pixel tells Meta that a browser visited this site or submitted the access form; it is subject to Meta's own privacy policy. You can limit ad tracking through your browser settings or Meta's ad preferences.
Your choices
You can ask us at any time to see, correct, or delete the information we hold about you, or to remove you from the founding cohort list. California residents have these rights under the CCPA; we honor the same requests from anyone, anywhere. Email privacy@slopelabs.ai and we'll handle it within 30 days.
Terms of use
Slope Labs is a research preview in development. All content on this site is provided for informational and research purposes only. It is not an operational avalanche forecast and is not a substitute for official avalanche bulletins, formal avalanche education, professional guidance, or your own judgment and observations in the field. Backcountry travel involves inherent risk, including the risk of serious injury or death. You are solely responsible for your decisions in avalanche terrain. Always consult your regional avalanche center before traveling in the backcountry.
This site is provided as-is, without warranties of any kind. By using it you agree that Slope Labs and its founders are not liable for any decision you make based on its content.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we'll note it here and, for material changes affecting cohort members, email you.
